Secondary Highway 505 - Images

Photos shown in this table are arranged from West to East:

This photo shows the southern terminus of Highway 505 at Highway 48.  The continuation of this route is Kawartha Lakes Road 35 which if followed leads to Glenarm.  Highway 505 was given the designation Kawartha Lakes 35 for simplicity as it is now one continuously numbered route from Glenarm to Uphill.

Looking down the hill at a high standard section of Highway 505.  Highway 505 was actually paved quite late in its life (which is surprising considering how southerly it is), and was not fully paved until sometime in the mid to late 1970s.

This picture is looking north from Blanchards Road in the small community of Victoria Road.  In 1972 (or maybe a few years earlier) Highway 505 was paved from Highway 48 to this small community, this seems odd to me considering how southern Highway 505 is.  The community of Victoria Road has its name derived from the historic Victoria Colonization Road which Highway 505 follows for the highways entire length.
